Upon viewing the following in the Home page posted by one of my fren:

http://www.facebook.com/people/Cyndiz-Cheong/526903399#!/group.php?gid=113528545363616&ref=mf

My heart sank deep upon verifying the accuracy of the news..How Cruel can Life actually turnout for a Person's life. As if this family situation was not bad enough, they have to lose their Sole Breadwinner in such a rare accident..

Really do hope that this family thru the help of others can stand on their feet again.

I truly Respect this gal who created this group page to get awareness of others to come forward and give.. and it ain't one easy task to convince others to give coz...

Sometimes all it takes is one black sheep to abuse the trust of charitable givers..

We seen and heard of those who uses the name of Charity to cheat kind souls of their donations and uses it for their own benefit.

What sears such person conscience to actually have the heart to uses such money.. maybe they didn't even have one to begin with. Tsk.

When u pass by the tunnels, when u dine at hawker centres, have your ever first thought was to give but then pull back because of what u had heard and read? Even though the amount is just less than a dollar..

I had such situations which makes me question myself..

Went to JB with my colleagues, an old man selling tissue approach out table.. my hands move immediately to my pouch but then i stopped and said no the next second.. and my guy colleague decide to buy for him instead and before this.. some students had approached for donations.. i had decide to clear my ringgit coins but he gave a dollar note instead.

For that two moments, i feel like a hyprocrite..

I mean thru my facebook profile..i joined many charitable organisations as a group member.. enjoyed posting up news and posts like the one i just did in my Profile.

All these are 3rd actions taken which are not directly impactive..

I didn't think twice about posting these things up but i had actually think twice about giving.. Darn..

Another incident that just occurred was in KL while eating Nasi Lemak.. one of my fren spotted this blind man waving his hands for attention and alerted me.. i watched franctically seeing him waving his hands and asking for the attention of someone and i pondered that he could be someone who might be weird or a common sight in this place thus no one seems to pay him attention.. after a while, a malay man called the vendor and told him that this man wanted to place an order.

Oh man.. why do we conclude another person's action so fast..

Though in other countries, there are Syndicates that actually abducted young children, cut off their limbs and make them become beggers and we as tourist are warned not to even pity them by giving cause they would follow us all the way or get more beggers to surround us and this in a way, might allow the syndicate to increase the victims.

Has this awareness of self-protection causes us to give lesser and lesser??

I really hope not.. we're considered really blessed as individual to have a roof under our head, have our daily meals and clothes to wear.. let's really put our self-fishness aside and contribute to what we can.

Updates:

Three of my colleagues are resigning this month.. two of which are the same designation as me and are our lunch khakis..

Sadly, the other one who seldom mingle much with us.. her departure from the dept seems to have no impact coz i didn't even realised when is her last day. *Guilty*

Thus it's really important to really mingle around and socialise at work no matter how anti-social u feel u are..

Though having colleagues that wants to further their career path are a common sight.. emotions are still there and all of us though no one mention on their lips.. we know that we know that this dept will seems to have a sense of absence after the end of this month.

Not one indivdual is Replaceable.. workload may be but personality isn't.

Just had an appraisal done by my Superior ( my shi fu) that is... and seriously she is really one person that i truly earn my respect. She's 4 years younger than me.. but her knowledge and experience far exceeded mine.. (needless to say) and she's one role model of striking a balance between earning respect from those under her and having a good EQ with the colleagues around her and one whose jokes can make us laugh.

I'm pretty certain that non of my colleagues read my blog before i type this all out otherwise i won't want to be  labelled as a Pat- horse- butt person.

After the talk with her.. thoughts aroses.. she's probably surprised that i have not much enquiries.. coz deep within.. i know i haven gave my best so far after working for a year.. coz i'm quite a slacker BUT after the talk.. i know deep within i got to work even harder.

At the end of the day, in this reality world..nobody really cares about who u really are.. it's not about Niceness that attracts but simply on your Knowledge. The better u are on it and adding it on with a Gift of Gap that makes you a People Person.

Changes are always Necessary isn't it? and it varies with the Situation around. I'm glad that i have my Sotong gals to let me be myself and keeping my Sanity intact. =)
